Thanks for the insights and sharing your experiences. I enjoy reading your writing as you tackle some vulnerable topics, and ones that people often have a hard time thinking through for themselves. I'm all for throwing out the status quo.

With that said, I'm still of the mind that the high-intensity feelings (romance, sex, and understanding) are possible to maintain with one individual. Hopeless romantic perhaps.

My last relationship was over 6 years and I can tell you it definitely lost the high-intensity feelings, but i'm not sure if it was the timing or the wrong partnership. From the start, we were of different minds on many aspects of life.

My current relationship is only one year in, so I think time will tell what direction it will take but i've never felt more connected to someone in my life.
