I am disappointed with this article - not for the radical opinion (please more of that) but for the dangers of promoting hormonal birth control without stating the side effects.

I have had bad cramps my whole life, but i'd rather not change my brain's physiology in order to feel better a couple days out of the year.

Hormonal birth control has been proven to alter women's brains - from changing what type of people we are attracted to, to affecting our memories, to impacting our emotional wellbeing. Until there's a nonhormonal, safe option - count me out.
